I’d like to be your Mayor in Cheshire & Warrington. Here’s why…

Problem-solver by profession

Trained as apprentice engineer with Unilever in Warrington and Port Sunlight. Moved into pharma and medical devices, a bedrock of Cheshire’s economy. Promoted through the ranks and drove innovation to cut plastic packaging globally for a FTSE 100 company.

a decade in local AUTHORITY

A councillor for 10 years, I’ve championed local projects, driven national culture bids, and helped attract multi-million pound regeneration investment, including the ‘Neighbourhood Weekender’ festival, which contributes £4m to our local economy annually.

Cheshire born and raised

I was born in Cheshire and I’ve lived here all my life. I’ll be an effective advocate for Cheshire and Warrington by influencing policy, and securing the funding we deserve, while keeping local needs front and centre.

A few things that make me feel proud

I was elected as Labour Police & Crime Commissioner (PCC) in Cheshire in May 2024 with 86,000 votes. Since then, I’ve brought energy, honesty and integrity. You know where you stand with me. I’m creating the change we need in our county, tackling challenges head on, trying new ways to solve problems and bringing people together to make a difference.

Phone-free education pledge

My funding pledge makes it possible for all mainstream high schools in Cheshire to be phone-free by 2026 by asking students to put their phone in a lockable pouch during the school day. Safer schools will protect our children’s mental health and education. I’m working to find more funds from charities and foundations too. Other parts of the North West are keen to follow Cheshire’s lead.

Community cohesion & contribution

Instead of dividing communities, I’m building understanding and inclusion through side by side volunteering projects. I’ve brought together local groups with those seeking asylum to pilot visible opportunities for everyone to contribute to the place where they live. Successful pilots in Warrington and Ellesmere Port so far with more planned in 2026.

Fresh start for ex-offenders

I’m working with Cheshire business leaders, DWP and Probation to create a programme that will offer ex-offenders a real career job. Less than six months after launch, 17 ex-offenders are already in work. This initiative is on track to help change lives and make Cheshire safer. The plan is to have 100 ex-offenders in work by the end of 2026.
